We prefer this glass carafe over the thermal one that comes with the Ratio 6 because we don’t like to brew coffee in plastic. It would’ve been much better if we could’ve had a choice when purchasing the Ratio 6 machine. Now we have a carafe that we don’t need and we had to pay extra for the one we wanted.

Had to replace my old carafe circa 10 years old. Love the new rubber base.

Excellent quality. We use the thermal carafe for coffee and this for tea.

The Chemex carafe feels better in hand and pours easier. This carafe feels more fragile. I dislike the magnet. It’s unnecessary and makes cleaning more difficult.

I feel that my coffee taste better using the Glass Carafe. Not only is it beautiful , but when I had problems with my original glass carafe, Ratio was kind enough to replace it under the warranty. Great customer service and quality.

Always solid Ratio Glass Carafe in smoked glass means I can color coordinate with my black Ratio Six!

Hello - the quality of the carafe is significantly lower than the original that came with our machine 6 years ago. It weighs less and is more easily scratchable. I had to peel the Made in China sticker off the handle, and the rubber base is glued on poorly. Quite disappointed with our replacement version, especially considering the cost.

The first glass carafe didn’t work, so I called the company and they immediately sent me a new one. Love that all I have to do is push a button and I get delicious pour over coffee without worrying about the plastic!

Art in the kitchen. A beautiful piece, with a perfectly functional flare for pour-over action, and pours in an easily controlled fashion. Makes for an excellent pot of coffee!

there is no better carafe. The science lab inspiration to the design gives the best pour.

Looks great in my ratio six brewer especially since I have it in a small space. Makes delicious coffee.

The first carafe that was sent wasn't see by my Ratio 6. I assume this is due to the magnet type. No amount of postioning or twisting would let the carafe be seen through an entire brew cycle. Frustratingly, the brew cycle would intermittantly start and then stop 2/3 way through. Happily though, Ratio's custom support shipped a replacement that has worked for several weeks now with 100% "accuracy". A+ for the support team. The item itself is nicely made, attractive, and works as expected. Thanks so much.

Love this handblown glass carafe. Not your run of the mill coffee carafe - it’s a classy, sexy rendition and get lots of compliments.

I purchased the Ratio 8 with the thermal set but a manufacturing defect in the carafe caused some trouble for me when I first received it. The magnet wasn’t strong enough. I hacked it with a button magnet and got up and running, but the kind people at Ratio sent me a glass Carafe for my troubles. It is well made, as tall as my chemex, and generally a nice, quality piece.

Big improvement in taste over the thermal version. The lid for the thermal version cannot be cleaned and ruins the coffee and replacements are not available. The aesthetic of this glass carafe is great and looks better than the thermal unit. Two criticisms for the glass is that the machine is very finicky about the carafe alignment on the base. I always have to play with it to keep the 3 error lights from coming on. The glass carafe must be heated up prior or the coffee is tepid at best.
